This work around will only work if you have a save before you entered the 1000 Terrors dungeon. If you have a save and have installed the official patch rename your Rude.rez file in case this does not work for you. The default location of the Rude.rez file is C:\Program Files\3DO\Might and Magic IX\Data\.
Close your game.
Download this FILE. This file is if you have not installed the unoffical patch but have installed the patch from 3DO.
If you have also installed the unofficial patch download this FILE.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO INSTALL BOTH OF THESE FILES ONLY THE FIRST IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE PATCH FROM 3DO. INSTALL THE SECOND IF YOU HAVE BOTH THE 3DO AND THE UNOFFICIAL PATCH INSTALLED
Now unzip the file and copy it to your (default) C:\Program Files\3DO\Might and Magic IX\Data\ folder.
Now you need to go see Krohn. He will now give you the final quest.
